There’s no better time to think about snacks than summertime when so many of us find ourselves traveling and on the go. I don’t know about you, but I am a true snacker. Though I don’t take pride in this guilty pleasure (errr…habit), I do like to nosh (and by nosh I mean having my hand inside a chip bag).
What better way to snack than on something that’s crunchy, delicious and good for you? Of course I am referring to Beanfields (in case you’ve been living under a rock and by chance haven’t heard of them) bean and rice chips. These 100% whole grain, non-GMO, gluten free, corn free and vegan chips are made from a combination of black and navy beans and brown rice and are some of the tastiest snacks around. And for those of you who are concerned about getting enough protein in your diet, Beanfields are your solution! These yummy crunchies are packed with protein (5 grams) as well as fiber (6 grams).
Beanfield’s is a family owned business out of California that prides themselves on showcasing products that combine great taste with good nutrition. Beanfields snacks are free of the top 8 allergens and are available in an array of seven fun flavors– Ranch, BBQ, Sea Salt, Nacho, Pico de Gallo, Salt n’ Pepper, as well as Unsalted. I have tried them all and my favorites are BBQ and Nacho and Pico de Gallo comes in a close third. The chips are award winning, even VegNews was quoted saying that the Nacho flavor is “the vegan answer to Doritos!” and I couldn’t agree more. Even their zesty Ranch flavor tastes a lot like the Cool Ranch Doritos that I used to eat as a kid.
Where can you find Beanfields? The chips are available in full-sized as well as snack size bags and can be found in most natural food and premium grocers throughout the US and Canada. If you are unable to find them in your area, you can purchase the chips online and if you buy from the company directly, they can create a mixed case just for you! <— Brilliant!
So what do I really think about Beanfields snacks? I really like them. I can honestly polish off a regular full-sized bag in one sitting (I told you I was a snacker!). Albeit these chips taste different than your standard tortilla or corn chip (though some say they can’t taste the difference) they really are tasty. And, I have heard that kids love them too! Why not opt for a healthy alternative to corn chips all the while help the environment and the animals too?
What are you waiting for? Grab a bag of the Nacho (red bag), Ranch (white bag) and Sea Salt (blue bag) and make your way to that 4th of July BBQ or potluck! I promise you won’t be sorry and neither will your family and friends.
